Photo Resizer Privacy Policy

Effective date: 18 October 2026 | Last updated: 18 October 2026
Applies to: the Photo Resizer Android app (package com.mobifystudio.photoresizer) and this web page.

In short.
  • Your photos stay on your phone. Resizing, compressing, cropping, converting and making PDFs all happen on your device. We run no server that receives your photos, documents or signatures.
  • No account. You never give us your name, email address or phone number to use the app.
  • The app shows ads from Google AdMob, and it uses Google Firebase services to count usage and find crashes. They collect limited technical data, listed in section 5.
  • You are in control: reset your advertising ID, change ad choices, delete saved files, or uninstall the app (sections 10 and 11).

1. Who we are

Photo Resizer is published by Mobify App Studio, E708, Tinsel County, Hinjewadi Phase 3, Pune, Maharashtra 411057, India. We decide how the information described here is used, so we are the "data fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the "controller" under laws such as the GDPR for the data we handle.

Contact: mobifyappstudio@gmail.com

Photo Resizer is a utility that resizes and compresses photos to an exact size in KB or MB, prepares photo and signature sizes for exam and form uploads, makes passport-size photos, removes backgrounds, and combines photos into PDF files.

2. Data that stays on your device

This information is processed on your phone. We do not receive it.

3. Data we do not collect

  • The content of your photos, documents or signatures, their file names, or where they are stored.
  • Your name, email address, phone number, postal address or any account details (the app has no accounts).
  • Your precise location. The app does not read your device location.
  • Contacts, messages, call history, or microphone and camera recordings.
  • Payment details. The app has no purchases or subscriptions.

4. App permissions

  • Internet and network state: so ads and the Google services in section 5 can work, and so the app can tell whether you are online.
  • Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID): so Google can show and measure ads and so analytics can count unique devices. You can delete your advertising ID (section 11).
  • The app asks for no camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, phone, location, or all-files or photo-library permission. It reads only what you pick through Android's system pickers and writes only where you choose.

5. Data collected by Google services in the app

The app contains Google software that contacts Google's servers. None of it receives your photos. As with any internet service, each can see your IP address and an approximate location derived from it.

5.1 Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK)

Purpose: banner, native, interstitial, app-open and rewarded ads, which pay for the app. Data used: advertising ID, IP address and approximate location, device and software details (model, Android version, screen, language, battery and network state), the app name and version, and how you interact with ads. With your choices allowing it, ads can be personalised. More: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

5.2 Firebase Analytics

Purpose: count installs and active users, see which features are used, find where people get stuck, measure ad performance, improve the app. Data: a random app-instance ID, the advertising ID where you have not opted out, app version, device model, operating system, language, country and city-level location from IP, first-open and session times, screens viewed, and events such as "photo resized" or "ad shown" with coarse labels (for example a size range, never the exact size). Events never contain your photos, file names, or the content of anything you create. More: Firebase privacy information.

5.3 Firebase Crashlytics

Purpose: find and fix crashes. Data: crash and error logs, stack traces, app version, device model, operating system version, memory and storage state, and a random installation ID. No photos or file names are included.

5.4 Firebase Performance Monitoring

Purpose: measure app start and how long operations such as resize, save and PDF creation take. Data: timings, device and network type, app version, country.

5.5 Firebase Remote Config

Purpose: turn features on or off remotely, for example to switch off a faulty feature quickly. Data: app-instance ID and basic device details are sent to fetch the settings.

5.6 Google Play services

Play In-App Review may show a Google Play rating prompt; Google handles it and we are not told what you rate. Google ML Kit (section 2) is delivered through Play services. Google Play collects install and update data under the Play terms.

6. Ads and consent

  • The app shows ads from Google AdMob. Ads come through Google's ad systems from many advertisers; we do not choose individual advertisers. There are no other ad networks or ad mediation partners in the app today.
  • In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other places where the law requires it, the app shows Google's consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) before ads are requested. Elsewhere no form is needed and ads are requested directly.
  • You can review or change your choices in the app at Settings → Ad privacy options (shown where a choice applies), and on your phone at Settings → Google → Ads.
  • Rewarded ads: if you choose to watch an ad to remove ads for an hour, the app remembers when that hour ends, on your device only.
  • Ads are not shown on the screens where you give consent, and an ad is never shown as the app is closed.

7. Why we use data, and legal bases

PurposeLegal basis (where a law asks for one)
Providing the app's functions on your devicePerforming the service you asked for
Showing and measuring ads so the app can stay freeYour consent where the law requires it (EEA, UK, other regions), collected through Google's consent form; legitimate interests and, in India, a legitimate use or your consent as the law allows
Crash reports, performance data and basic analyticsLegitimate interests in keeping the app working and improving it, with the limited data described above
Preventing fraud and invalid ad traffic; following the lawLegitimate interests; legal obligation
Answering your emailsLegitimate interests; your request

You may withdraw consent at any time (section 6). Withdrawing does not affect what happened before.

8. Who gets data

  • Google LLC and its group companies, as described in section 5. Google acts as a service provider for some services and as an independent controller for advertising, under its own terms. Google may share ad data with advertisers and ad technology providers.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it or to protect rights and safety.
  • A buyer, if the app is sold; this policy would continue to apply.
  • Nobody else. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers. We do not use your photos for advertising or to train AI models.

9. International transfers

Google's servers are in several countries, including the United States, so data from the services in section 5 can leave India. Google applies its own safeguards; see the Google policies linked above. Your photos never leave your device through the app.

10. How long data is kept

DataKept
Photos, PDFs and the Saved list on your deviceUntil you delete them, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Temporary working files are removed by the app
Firebase Analytics event data14 months (the retention setting in our Firebase console); aggregated reports for longer
Crash and performance dataAbout 90 days
Ad data held by GoogleUnder Google's own retention policy
Emails you send usAs long as needed to answer you and keep a record, then deleted on request

11. Deleting your data

The app has no account, so there is no account to close.

  1. On your phone: delete the saved photos and PDFs from your gallery or chosen folder. Clear the app's data at Android Settings → Apps → Photo Resizer → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app. This removes everything the app stored on the device.
  2. Advertising ID: at Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (the path varies by phone), choose Delete advertising ID or reset it.
  3. Analytics and crash data: because we do not know who you are, we cannot look you up by name. To ask us to delete data linked to your device's app-instance ID, email mobifyappstudio@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data". We will delete it where technically possible within 30 days. Uninstalling the app stops further collection.

12. Your rights

To use any right, email mobifyappstudio@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy request". We reply within 30 days and may need to confirm that a request relates to your device.

  • India (DPDP Act 2023): access to a summary of your personal data, correction, erasure, withdrawal of consent, grievance redressal, and nominating another person to exercise your rights. If we do not resolve your complaint, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
  • EEA, UK, Switzerland (GDPR/UK GDPR): access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawing consent, and a complaint to your data protection authority.
  • California and other US states with privacy laws: to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information. You can limit ad personalisation with the choices in section 6 and your phone's advertising settings. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
  • Brazil (LGPD) and other countries: the rights your local law gives you; write to us and we will help.

13. Children

Photo Resizer is a general-audience tool. It is not directed to children under 13, or under the higher age your country sets (up to 16 in some places), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will act on it. Parents can also reset the advertising ID on a child's phone.

14. Security

The strongest protection is that your photos are not sent anywhere: they are processed on your device. Data sent to Google's services travels over encrypted connections. The app keeps its private data in storage only the app can read and excludes it from Android backups. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

15. This website

This page is served from our company website, vmobify.in, which uses Google Tag Manager and may set cookies for site analytics. The Photo Resizer app itself does not use browser cookies. Do Not Track signals: the app does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because it is not a browser; use the advertising choices in section 6.

The app can open links such as this page, the open-source licence list, the Google Play listing, and your email app. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

17. Changes to this policy

When the app's data practices change, we update this page and the "Last updated" date before the change takes effect. For a material change we will also tell you in the app. Earlier versions are available on request.
